Nikolai Zherdev has been looking to return to the NHL after a season with the much talked about KHL in Russia. You might remember Zherdev as the very hyped fourth overall pick by Columbus Blue Jackets pick in 2003.
Zherdev is oozing with skill, but his highest point total was in 2007-2008 when he scored just 61 points while still playing for the Blue Jackets. His final NHL season up to this point was during the 2008-2009 season with the Rangers when he scored 58 points.
The Russian winger’s work ethic and toughness has been a constant question mark throughout his career, and something if question in Philadelphia could be a very unpopular quality.
