Playoff Beard?

Well many people out there are superstitious about things such as, not shaving when you get into the playoffs, or doing a specific routine every day / every game. I put this theory in place myself not posting during the Flyers wins here…..well it backfired in the worst way the other night and boy did it suck. I try not to whine about things but WTF REFS. While the Flyers defense played horrible the other night the refs matched their play as well. For the Flyers penalties that were called the Scott Hartnell penalty in which he elbowed Tomas Kopecky, wow really refs? REALLY? This is the Stanley F’n Cup and that clearly is not an elbow. Oh and lets talk about the Chris Pronger slash penalty that for once the announcers played the replay and even said there is no where in which they see where or how this call is or was made. Its very upsetting to be honest with you and while I know the Flyers are not favored to win this series as they were not favored to win the Devils, Bruins and Canadiens series as well its just very frustrating to watch this go down and the wind taken right out of our sails.

And on the Versteeg goal in the 1st period lets please not talk about that goal that happened. The one in which the BlackHacks had 7 men on the ice, I mean you can get away with one of them saying he was technically off the ice but the other player was surely on the ice, so 6 players on the ice… sweet why cant we get that to happen to us. Don’t believe me take a look for yourself

Another thing that has really bothered me about this series is how quick they blow the whistle as soon as Niemi touches the puck. For Leighton or Boucher its like a 3 count then the whistle blows. If you watched this series at all then you could agree with me that there has been 4 occasions, once in which was an overtime play in which the REFS blew the whistle and the puck was still rattling around. PLEASE guys, treat both teams the same here, is that so much to ask for? Man its annoying…
