Not doing himself any favors today has fired his Agent Alvin Keels. I can never do it any justice as Gary Cobb had put it, “Maybe Alabama’s Andre Smith wants to get less money in his signing bonus or he wants to play for the Eagles”. The reason this is a big deal is because it is showing NFL scouts that he has erratic behavior and might not be mature enough to handle the NFL (i.e. Vince Young mental break down). To put it in perspective you must go back and look at where he was before the NFL combine and were his draft stock lies currently. Before the NFL combine he was touted as the #1 Offensive Tackle in the draft and being selected has high as #2 in the 1st round. Now he will be lucky if he will go in the top 10 first picks. He will likely fall completely out of the top 10 picks and be selected anywhere from 11 – 15th in the draft.
All of this can be contributed to walking out of the NFL combine, having a poor performance in his Pro Day and now a last minute firing of his agent. Walking out of his NFL combine really hurt his image because it shows not only a lack of poor judgment, but also a possibility that he didn’t even prepare for the combine. He didn’t work out at the combine and said he left because he wanted to practice with his personal trainer. So what did he do to overcome this boondoggle? Shows up for his Pro Day and puts up really poor numbers. Thus decreasing his draft stock further and making it a reality of dropping him out of the top ten 1st rd picks.

All in All, your probably asking yourself how does this affect the Eagles. Well, there are still many analysts that feel that statistics are misleading and you must go back and look at the game film. On tape, Andre Smith is the most dominant Offensive Tackle in the draft. If Smith could slip out of the top 10, then the Eagles will probably make a push to move up to grab him. If he is as dominant on tape and is able to make the transition the Eagles would be getting a #1 OT at a firestorm prices. This would be a steal and a great pick up.
Don’t focus on the man boobs…………..All O-Linemen have man boobs. Heheheh
