In a not so surprising turn of events, the Eagles have cut ties with long time vets Kevin Curtis and Darren Howard. While Curtis was considered a disappointment by many in his tenure with Philly ( spending a majority of the time injured ), many believed the oft injured receiver’s time was up one year too late.
Howard, due a roster bonus of 1m, was still one of the most productive members of a beleaguered Eagles defensive in the 2009/10 campaign posting 6.5 sacks in split duty with Jaqua Parker. That sort of production will, most certainly, land the 33 year old another deal with a franchise in need of a pass rushing DE. The Eagles trend towards youth is becoming more and more evident with every move they make.
