Well…. very upset about this but TE Ingram will miss the season with a re-tear of his already repaired ACL.
Not good news at all…
Damn this is a tough blow… I really liked Ingram a lot and was very glad when we drafted him, so glad in fact I called all my family members the day of the draft because of him being drafted. Well the fact that he has had this surgery before is a pretty scary factor. Not many people in their professional career can come out and say, I have had major ACL surgery two times and came back from it and continued my career. If he does come back the battle will not be the healing or strength because hes lucky, he has age on his side. The problem for him will be the mental aspect of how the knee will hold up, or a certain cut that he makes that usually makes the knee feel a bit weak. All of those mental factors will play in affect now and surely we will never see him at his best, at least thats how I feel. Until the day that we can figure out a better procedure for the most common knee injury in the world and also one of the worst knee injuries then we may be stuck with a 5th round te that should of would of could of. And thats the very verysad truth behind it. There were so many things that we could say about him and how much he could of helped us in the red zone, but that came to a quick hault after this recent news. All we can do now is sit back and hope that Celek becomes what we all saw towards the end of last year, if so then why are we all complaining? If Celek is what he was at the end of last year then we have one hell of a TE on our hands. Injuries happen… it sucks but they happen, we have to try to stay on the positive side someway or another. Schobel is not a bad option even though he himself is battling an injury right now too.
Although what I dont understand is why no one has mentioned anything about Lehigh’s fields this year. They are COMPLETE GARBAGE and I am surprised that no one has came out and said anything yet. They are very wavey this year and dippy. I know that fields are supposed to have a roll-off crown to them for proper dispersing of the rain but wtf… Lehighs fields are trash. When I was down at trianing camp this year I commented that to my wife. I said sure they look nice as far as no bare spots, nice grass, lines painted very well. But as far as the condition of the field itself, its a mine-field. It could be part of the reason we have been seeing so many KNEE injuries this year. And it would be nice if someone came out and said something about that….
just my 2 cents. Well Ingram, I surely hope you can bounce back from this and condition and have a great season next year or even a great career!
