Phor the Phirst time Phillies Pitching comes through

Last night the Phillies started a 4 game road trip.  2 of which will be played in STL and 2 that will be played against the Mets.  Tonight Joe Blanton took the mound against the Cards, and what a good job he did.  He only allowed 1 run throughout his 6 innings.  And while it wasn’t a blow out performance, meaning he didn’t come in and have 10 SO’s he kept the ball low which meant no long-balls.  Phillies were up 2-1 heading into the 5th inning when the bases got loaded for Ryan Howard and we usually know the story here.  We have said it 7 times in his young career and 2 times this year already.  Grand Salami, now giving him 7 all time tying the record for the Phillies with the current holder of a guy that some of you may of heard once or twice, Mr. Mike Schmidt.  This breaking the game open for the Phillies at that point making it a 6-1 game.
