Phillies open up with a WIN!

Well it’s been a while since we can say that the Phillies have opened up the season 1-0. Lets do a brief game recap.

Our president of the USA through out the first pitch. All that needs to be said here is stick with basketball Barack. You got a nasty shot but your pitching skills really need brushed up on lol.

Pretty boring game for the first 4 innings, Nats took an early lead and everyone sat that and I’m sure said “This is not what we had in mind for Halladay pitching his first game as a Phillie”. Well he bounced back quick after that first run he allowed in. After that he was pretty much painting lines showing his whole arseonal of pitches while striking out 9 batters walking 2 giving up 6 hits and 1 run. Starting the season 1-0. Lets also not forget the plate appearances he had lol. The bunt that was a joke but then the RBI hit as well. What is it about AL pitchers coming to the Phillies and suddenly having a BAT! Halladay looked amazing and I cannot wait to see him again.

Phillies defense was pretty rock solid as well. They have to be the prettiest looking team out there that can turn two.

As their bats slowly came alive when Ryno decided to take a nice little swing and send a ball deep. At that point making it a 1-1 game in the 4th inning. Then you know how it get’s when one players bat gets going, so does the rest of the teams. The Phillies actually knocked in 5 runs that 4th inning. The Phillies also had NO ONE STRIKE OUT until the 6th inning I believe which was amazing and only struck out 4 times all game.
Then in the 7th inning they decided to get it going again. Jimmy had 2 on when they decided to walk him to bring up our new (old) boy Polanco and with the bases juiced you bet your sweet ass he hit it right out of the ballpark. GRAND SALAMI!!!! thats what I’m talkin about baby thats how we do!!!!

Nice to see the Phillies come out with a bang and I hope they can just keep playing like this all year, because man they are electric.

I don’t honestly know if theres any team in the NL that can hold a candle to our 1-8.

I’m so glad baseball is back… love the FEELING!
